Einrichtung
It contains indexing your web site and creating the template (your specific look & feel of the search and result mask) resulting in a fully functional search page. |

text formats
All shown text formats are being indexed, no matter if their content is static or dynamic. Files without ending are also treated as text files. |

binary formats
All shown binary formats can be indexed, as long as the files are not protected (often the case at pdf and xls files). We identify these protected files and list them in your customer login area. |

dynamic sites
See also "text formats". No matter if the site works with or without session variables, if it is data base driven or not - all pages are indexed. |

Advertising
We don't show any advertisement from our side. Lately your customers are not to be irritated. |

indexing interval
Usually, monthly re-indexing is enough, also the big established search engines index with an interval of 1 - 3 months. In case you make big changes on your web site or relaunch it, we can index it manually. Shorter intervals are available upon request. |

wildcards, phrases and exclusions
You can extend search terms by using wildcards, e.g. searching for auto* will also find automobile.
Using phrases will limit the searches, as only the exact phrase is being searched, e.g. searching for "many cars" will list only many cars, but not cars and many people.
Exclusions are to filter out certain words, e.g. charge -battery lists sites containing charge, in which battery does not appear. |

Optical Accordance
The search and result mask are optically adapted in such a way that the your visitors believe, they are still on your web page. CSS formattings (Cascading Style Sheets) of your web page are being considered. |

link check
In your customer login area you have a list of all non found pages or files (broken links). Therewith ou can monitor the consistence of your web site and can assure that all links work properly. This list includes all file types named above. |

maximum size per file
Up to this size a file is indexed. The limit of 10 MB is quite high. Files of this size are annyway unhandy for download or online viewing. If a visitor accesses a such large file through the search enine, he must re-orient within this file. We recommend, to split up such large files in multiple parts. |

protected files
In case your web site contains copy-protected pdf documents or Excel tables with protected cells, these cannot get into the search index (also not in the index of the big externat search engines!). But you can copy significant text out of these files and place it in the location, from where te file is linked. So a search will lead exactly to this place and your file will be found (also from external search engines). For your convenience we list these files in your customer login area. |

statistics
You receive monthly statistics about the search terms: quantity over period, most search words, and very useful, a list of search terms, returning 0 results - this shows, where your visitors expected content but your site did not have. Check out the Demo Statistics. |

analysis internal/external
The statistics can be filtered by IP address. So you can filter diferent user groups. You can also distinguish between search requests from inside (your company) or outside. Or you get a picture about search requests of a certain customer, as far as you know his fix IP address..
